Hayet – “life” in Arabic – is a social cooperative that is born from the experience of those who have been involved in the CAS ( extraordinary reception centers) system facilities in Molise. Hayet wants to give life to projects for the reception of immigrants and disadvantaged people in general, promoting literacy, orientation, social, and work inclusion of the most vulnerable people. Hayet focuses in particular on two projects:
1) social farming: a project that thanks to the donation of two hectares of land by a private citizen. has allowed five young guests of the Cas and an Italian boy to start a production of organic products and a small farm at the Fattoria Griot
2) Carpentry and creative recycling: Baye fall art was born from an improvised project. At CAS EDEN have thought that the care and devotion to the outside space of the structure could arouse the curiosity in the passers-by, stimulating them to make contact. Thanks to a Senegalese boy who was a carpenter in his country, from recycled pallets were built benches, and flower boxes made from used tires. Some passers-by appreciated the work so much that they asked for one of them in exchange for a donation.
